How is chukum obtained?

Chukum for construction is made by mixing the resin of the tree, which has abundant tannins, which makes it have a dark red color (red wine) with white cement and limestone. With this mixture you can obtain different shades that vary within a range of warm, soft and organic ochers.

What is Chukum?

THE RUSTIC BEAUTY OF THE CHUKUM FINISH

Chukum is a soft-textured finish named after its main ingredient (resin from chukum trees endemic to the Yucatan region of Mexico), which is mixed with white cement and limestone to create a type of stucco. There are few materials that have the versatility that the Chukum finish has.
